STOC Manifesto
This manifesto is for those who, within organisations such as corporations, public institutions, and non-profits, recognise that complexity is no longer a challenge to be simplified but a terrain to be cultivated. It acknowledges that navigating such a landscape requires responses as nuanced, layered, and adaptive as the challenges themselves.
It lays the foundations of Systemic Team Coaching for Organisations (STOC) by offering a clear definition, a unifying vision, and a set of guiding principles. It is distinct from other forms of support, such as consulting, agile coaching, facilitation, mediation, executive coaching, or traditional team coaching. It draws upon the lived experience and systemic insight of advanced practitioners working directly with dynamic organisational ecosystems.
Definition
STOC is a discipline designed to support the organisation as a living system. It begins with the human dynamics that shape its internal environment and extends to how it interacts with its broader ecosystem. In this approach, the organisation itself is the client. It is supported in mobilising its own intelligence to co-create responses that are relevant to its context, whether the aim is transformation, adaptation, or the resolution of complex tensions.
By investing in its collective capacity, the organisation increases its ability to remain in movement, to continuously adapt, and to contribute purposefully to an environment defined by change.
Each engagement is held by one or more systemic coaches and delivered by a dedicated team. It is based on a holistic understanding of the system, structured through a custom-designed intervention, and grounded in ethical clarity and a deeply human presence.
Vision
Contemporary organisations are required to navigate a landscape shaped by interconnected strategic, human, ecological, and technological challenges. Doing so effectively demands that they transform constraints into opportunities for value creation.
STOC Coaches act as facilitators of this transformation. They treat complexity and human relationships as core material in the creation of collective intelligence. This ability to generate systemic value is a critical driver of sustainable performance and long-term resilience.
STOC enables a shift in both mindset and connection.
This work is founded on presence. The coach brings an embodied, intuitive, and reflective awareness that is attuned to weak signals, emerging patterns, and the deeper rhythms of the system.
